Darkness to Light

The primary work of the man of God is to bring those living in darkness to light that they may be forgiven and obtain the promise of everlasting life.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

But how can a man see in the dark if there is no light so he can see. How can he distinguished a color even if you show him right in front of his two eyes. For him, there is no other color but black, the color of darkness.

1 Tim 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

If we know how to behave in the house of friends, neighbors or relatives, much more that we should ought to know how to behave in the house of God. Meaning, we have to deny our inborn habit or attitude to conform with whom we follow.

Lk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For if we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

Tit 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began;

2 Tim 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
