Seven Devils

Prostitution is the oldest profession which occurs in a variety of forms. It is the act or practice of providing sexual services to another person in return for a fee.

Whether poverty is the reason for such profession, still it’s against the law to engaged in an activity related to flesh trade, different from the actually obscene, indecent & lustful women who are preoccupied with sex and sexual desire.

Ezek 23:44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.

Rahab the harlot was justified by works when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out in another way.

Josh 6:25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father’s household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Likewise, the unrighteous once washed are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus.

1 Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

1 Cor 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered like Mary Magdalene.

Mk 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Prostitute is not after all that bad for there are only seven devils that was cast out compared to this man who has legion of unclean spirits.

Mk 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

Mk 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

Mk 5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

Mk 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

Mk 5:12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

Mk 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

Legion may refer to an army consisting of a body of foot soldiers and cavalry consisting of different numbers at different periods, from about four thousand to about six thousand men.

I can’t believe that seven or more number of devils can all contain in one man. Surprisingly, what man accepted the swine rejected.
