Babes in Christ

Enough of your preaching. I don’t want to hear anything from you anymore. What I know is, as long as I am not doing anything wrong, I am still with the Lord.

A misconception brought about by wrong doctrines we received from our forefathers faith.

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn from you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Rom 10:17 So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

But what is the basis of everyone’s faith? Is it not the Bible, which is the word of God?

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Is 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

So that our faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Acts 17:29 Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like to gold, or silver, or stone graven by art and man’s device.

Therefore, between what man is saying and by the words spoken of in the Bible, the latter must always prevail. But hearing the word of God seems boring to some. Viewing live entertainment shows perhaps makes all spectator awake but not with the hearing of the word of God which will make you fallen into a deep sleep.

Acts 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, having fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

For out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise. As Saint Paul said:

1 Cor 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual, but as to carnal, even as to babes in Christ.

1 Cor 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

One example of the teachings which some women can not bear, is the doctrine of what they should not wear.

1 Tim 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in decent apparel, with modesty and sobriety; not with broidered hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array,

1 Cor 11:14 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that if a man hath long hair, it is a shame to him?

1 Cor 11:15 But if a woman hath long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

God want women to get in there with the men in humility, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it. Imagine a woman going to Church with protruding cleavage, short shorts, backless & exposing her navel or partly hidden nipple to arouse the desire of men.

And what prompts some women to shave off their eyebrows and paint them back on or pluck the lower edge of their eyebrow? Are they not perfectly created by God?

Ex 4:11 And the LORD said to him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD.

In the day of the Lord, because the women are haughty, and walk with extended necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

Is 3:18 In that day the Lord will take away the show of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon.

Is 3:19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

Is 3:20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the head-bands, and the tablets, and the ear-rings,

Is 3:21 The rings, and nose-jewels,

Is 3:22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping-pins,

Is 3:23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

Is 3:24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be an offensive odor; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
