40 Years Clothes And Sandals
We should bear in mind that there is no permanent thing in this whole wild world that will last and made to last until eternity. Even treasures or even gaining the whole world in exchange of your own soul, and clothes and sandals are not an exception to this rule.
God commanded Moses to perform wonders before the sight of Pharaoh to allow the people of Israel to go out in the land of Egypt.
Verses enumerated below are some of the wonders performed by Moses and Aaron before the Pharaoh of Egypt using a rod given to him by God.
Ex 7:10 And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Ex 7:20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned into blood.
Ex 8:5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch forth thy hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.
Ex 8:16 And the LORD said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
Ex 8:31 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.
Ex 9:10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it towards heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
Ex 9:23 And Moses stretched forth his rod towards heaven, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground: and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
Ex 10:12 And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.
Ex 10:22 And Moses stretched forth his hand towards heaven: and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
Of the following wonders: rod became serpent, river were turned into blood, swarms of flies, locusts, frogs and lice, boil, raining hail, darkness in Egypt for 3 days; for fear of more plagues to come, Egyptians gave them jewels of silver and gold and raiment.
Ex 12:35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses: and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment.
The reason why they have plenty of clothes and sandals to wear for 40 years wandering in the wilderness. Not same clothes and sandals not worn out in 40 years.
