Change Topic

Change the TopicA topic is the general theme, message or idea expressed in a speech. Going out of the topic theme is off topic and going out of context.

There will be no problem when ones idea is acceptable to the other otherwise an argument will follow. If the retaliatory remarks were sarcastic and derogatory this may result in a violent confrontation thus physical injuries, killing or murdering becomes the worst scenario.

The most famous conversation menu aside from a joke is the “knock knock who’s there” or the new “pick up lines” now trending offline and online.

The Bible advice us to avoid discussing things which are unprofitable and not so important in our daily life on earth.

Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Included are vain disputes of the wicked not knowing the truth supposing that the word of God is a profitable business.

1 Tim 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

What was allowed by God to talk about are topics that pertains to his majesty and glory and his marvelous works, for us to be written in the book of remembrance which is more important to talk about for our sure way of salvation.

Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

A conversation that will create joy in our hearts is after all not bad as long as it will not cause division, misunderstanding or violence. Remember to cleanse our conscience from dead talks and dead works to serve the living God, to preserve our body holy and acceptable, which is our spiritual worship.
