Is God cruel to Men?

Is God has no concern for men by sending his son with a sword instead of peace?

Matthew 10:34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Matthew 10:35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

Matthew 10:36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.

Matthew 10:37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

To understand the mind of God, we have to understand that Jesus talks on spiritual truths.

1 Corinthians 2:13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

Literally swords are used to kill enemies and evils are the the enemies of Christians. And what sword is Jesus referring to when he said; he comes with a sword?

Ephesians 6:16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;

Ephesians 6:17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

To take up a shield and a sword is to have both faith and the word of God, sharper than the two-edged sword.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

It is not God who has the literal sword but the evil one who murder and kill the righteous?

1 John 3:12 We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.

So then, by the sword (Word of God) let us kill the evil deeds of men before the giving of peace for “There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.” Isaiah 48:22
