Adrian Peterson

An assistant manager at McDonald’s was fired after allowing Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson to use the bathroom while the restaurant was closed.

While working the late-night drive-thru shift at 3 a.m., a female employee encountered a man standing outside the window who asked to come inside and use the restroom.

After a little while, she realized it was the popular Minnesota Vikings star and opened the door for him to come inside and use the facilities. (The seating area at the restaurant is normally closed during the late-night hours.)

One week later, the mother of three was fired for the offense.

“He’s a public figure… I know him better than some of the maintenance people that come in and out,” she told The Consumerist. “I never thought in a million years that that decision was going to cost me my career.”

This is somewhat related to Rahab the harlot, who hid the messengers of God which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Josh 6:22 But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot’s house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her.

Josh 6:23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.

Josh 6:24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.

Josh 6:25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father’s household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

We are talking above of a scenario that is between life & death. How about a cup of cold water just to quench a thirst?

Mt 10:42 And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones, a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily, I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Are we one of the many who will ask this same question comes judgment day?

Mt 25:37 Then will the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Mt 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Mt 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came to thee?

Mt 25:40 And the king will answer and say to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.

Nevertheless, Welcome to this world where doing good works are penalized.
