There are those who are ashamed with what others are saying than appreciate the goodness of the words of God.

1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord.

1 Corinthians 11:14 Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him,

1 Corinthians 11:15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.

May be ashamed of looking old fashioned. Simple is beautiful and ornaments are enhancement or added set-up seems forgotten by the maker. Then this question kept me thinking, are we smarter than the first honor? 😂😂😂

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

1 Corinthians 3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

We should always practice obedience to the words of God for it is not written as display but to be read and followed with fear and trembling.

Luke 9:26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

Who ever keeps the whole law but fails at one point, he has become accountable for all of it. It is like cooking porridge (sinigang) but became stewed (nilaga) because it fails to add tamarind (sampalok). In like manner also, cooking adobo without vinegar. 🍲
