Espiritu

May binabanggit ang Bibliya na kapag ang tao ay namatay na, ito ay wala nang gawa, katha, kaalaman o karunungan man sa libingan na kanyang paroroonan.

Eccles 9:10 Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Ang espiritu at kaluluwa ng taong namatay ay nasa kamay ng Dios at ang katawan o ang laman naman ay sa kanyang pagkakatulog hanggang sa araw ng paghatol.

Job 12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

Si Cristo nang mamamatay na ay inihabilin sa Ama ang Kanyang espiritu katulad din naman ni Esteban na isang lingkod ni Cristo na namatay sa pamamamagitan ng pagbato.

Lk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he expired.

Ang espiritu na nasa kamay ng Dios ay nasa Kanyang pagpapasiya katunayan isinugo pa nga Niya ang espiritu ni Elias kay Juan Bautista upang magamit niya ang kapangyarihan nito upang pabalikin ang mga tao sa Dios.

Lk 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Nguni’t ano nga ba ang espiritu? Ito ba ay katulad ng isang tao na may laman at buto?

Lk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Ano ang katunayan na ang espiritu ay mababalik sa isang katawang natutulog o namatay? Patunay dito ang halimbawa ni Cristo sa Kanyang pagkabuhay na mag-uli.

Ezek 37:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

Ezek 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezek 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

Ezek 37:8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

Ezek 37:9 Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Ezek 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Imposible ba kung tayo’y patayin at paghiwa-hiwalayin ang mga buto natin na kusang mabubuo sa kanyang sarili sa araw ng paghuhukom?

Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Rom 11:36 For from him, and by him, and to him are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
