New Name

A Name according to Wikipedia definition is a label for a noun, normally used to distinguish one from another. Names can identify a class or category of things, or a single thing, either uniquely, or within a given context. A personal name identifies a specific unique and identifiable individual person, and may or may not include a middle name. The name of a specific entity is sometimes called a proper name (although that term has a philosophical meaning also) and is a proper noun. Other nouns are sometimes, more loosely, called names; an older term for them, now obsolete, is “general names”.

The Bible speaks of a new name to be given to the Gentiles like us who overcometh punishment on judgment day.

Is 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

It’s a new name written on a white stone known only to the recipient.

Rev 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth, he excepted, that receiveth it.

Even Jesus has a new name. It’s a great challenge for me to work harder for he who is strong to the end will have salvation.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh, will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

For those who wants to know the new name of Jesus, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling for much are we ought to know.

Is 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, besides thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1 Jn 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life;

I will be very glad, if ever saved, to have a new name. Goodbye, elpidio, ambrosio, eladio, estelito, melquiades, pangcrasio, leodegario or whatever your name is, soon you will have a new name.

How about those without a name? Never read anything like that but have you been to the dessert on a horse with no name?

It’s a good song actually, not in anyway related to my post. Just enjoy listening to the music. Have a great day, Fellas!
